The average pass rate in this year’s Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations has fallen to 52.62 per cent, marking a decline of 6.21 percentage points compared to last year.
In the previous year, the combined pass rate across the country’s 11 education boards stood at 58.83 per cent.
A total of 40,084 students have achieved GPA-5, which is 29,013 fewer than the previous year.
The results were published at 11AM on Saturday (October 31).
Education Minister Dr ANM Ehsanul Haque Milon announced the results simultaneously across the country at a programme held at the conference room of the Secondary and Higher Education Division at the Secretariat.
The overall pass rate covers nine general education boards, along with the Madrasah and Technical Education Boards.
